Are you using a DBA (Doing Business As) name?
A DBA is when your public-facing brand name differs from your legal business name
Example: If your EIN says "Smith Holdings LLC" but customers know you as "Smith's Auto Shop", then you have a DBA. Using a DBA requires extra documentation showing the relationship.

My business operates under its legal registered name. Customers see the same name that's on my EIN.
Yes, I use a DBA

Which should I choose? Most businesses need BOTH types. If you ever send a coupon or promotion, select Marketing. If you send order updates, reminders, or account alerts, select Transactional. Each type requires a separate campaign registration and consent checkbox on your forms.
Marketing / Promotional Messages
Sales, discounts, coupons, flash sales, new product announcements, newsletters, promotional content - anything designed to drive purchases or engagement.
Transactional / Non-Marketing Messages
Order confirmations, shipping updates, appointment reminders, account alerts, password resets, 2FA codes, support responses - messages triggered by customer actions.

A2P Registration Tips & Help
🔐 Double Opt-In (Recommended)
Double opt-in provides the highest level of consent verification and can improve your trust score:
First opt-in: User submits form with consent checkbox checked
Confirmation message: Send an SMS asking them to reply YES to confirm
Second opt-in: User replies YES to complete subscription
While not always required, double opt-in provides stronger legal protection and can help with carrier trust scores.
